Responsible Nutrition Standards
We believe in a world of wellbeing – we know it’ll take time to get there, but with intention and focus we are committed to improving our world.
Around the globe, there’s a wellbeing crisis. Two billion people – that’s around a quarter of all humans – have some sort of micronutrient deficiency.
Thirty-nine percent of people over 18 years of age are now overweight, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Perhaps more worryingly still, 39 million children under the age of 5 are overweight or obese.
It’s estimated that only 1 in 20 of us are as healthy as we could be.
What to do? Well, diet - including our beverages - plays a major role in health and wellbeing. We are committed to make the healthier choice the easier choice for all communities, families, and individuals.
Our Responsible Nutrition Standards
We’ve developed nutritional standards – aligned with dietary recommendations from the WHO and other recognized authorities – which address limiting nutrients recognised as being detrimental to one’s health, including added sugars, saturated-and trans fats. We thoughtfully implement and apply our Responsible Nutrition Standards across our portfolio of products to deliver an array of beverages that keep health and wellness at the forefront.
Fortunately, we’re starting from a very strong position, since most of our teas and infusions are entirely plant-based and free of added sugars, saturated and trans fats.
Like our sustainability targets, we’ll be tracking and externally reporting on these nutrition standards yearly.
It’s just one of the ways we’re committed to delivering a world of wellbeing.
